My name is Kendall Jones and I have recently decided to start my own business. I know absolutely nothing about starting or running my own business, but I do know journalism. I’ve done hundreds of stories from a fraternity being suspended from a college campus for using racial slurs, to a midnight police helicopter crash, to a man wrongly jailed for a murder he did not commit. Oddly enough, I never have people e-mail me asking for DVD copies of the story I did on their house burning down.
Recently I’ve noticed the ones that mean the most to me are the ones that change people’s lives. I have a natural talent for helping people record the things that go on in their lives and I want to use it. As such, “Newz-2-You” was born. It’s not about the breaking news that will lead a 6 O’clock newscast. It’s about the news that matters to you. The first steps, the birthday parties, the bar mitvah’s, the weddings, the funerals and everything in between. It’s newz-2-you. One thing I’ve learned about journalism is that there are thousands of stories out there. We’d like to tell yours.
